Artemis is just trying to be politically correct. We all know that Artemis is Mina’s owner.
Duh. Obviously.
It still totally bugs me when people portray Artemis and Luna as actual “cats” who belong to Minako and Usagi. They’re not. They’re sentient creatures who are friends and companions, not pets…
I also find it hilarious that in Sailor V Artemis is really, really bad at keeping his mouth shut in front of other humans. And that Minako points out he’s got a woman’s name and calls him a “crossdressing (okama?) cat”
They just used the same storyline, but with cats. This is the opposite of a plot twist. This is a plot straightening.
“Okay, I’ll throw the rose, make the dramatic speech, then pull a tiny kitten from my hat. It’s PERFECT.”
The phrase “there are more fish in the sea” only applies when the sea consists of more than two of the same fish.
“He’s okay, I guess. I devoted my life to him and stuff.”
