OH NO I’M JUST SEEING THIS AND IT’S SO ADORABLE
Anonymous asked (a considerable amount of time ago): Top Ten Frames of Sailor Moon, Ever
Off the top of my head, these are some of my personal favorite Sailor Moon cels, judged mainly by humor value. But, you know, there are quite a few episodes, so there are probably a couple I’m forgetting.
I’d love to see compilations of your favorite frames, whether they be meaningful, silly, or fall on any part of the wonderful spectrum in between!
I have yet to decide if this is an intentional continuity flaw, or if Usagi just has several incredibly similar photos stashed in various locations around her room.
Did something happen between the last 2 episodes that affected both Chibiusa’s existence and Mamoru’s fashion choices?

BUT WAIT: THERE’S MORE
I just happened upon this picture from episode 173, which appears to be exactly the same as the one from 182 (minus the frame, which is not intrinsic to the photograph itself). Though I’m certain more than one picture was ever taken of this couple, the fact that it’s on Usagi’s desk each time and that their poses are identical leads me to believe it’s intended to be the same photo. This additional instance of continuity (again barring Usagi’s apparent penchant for swapping frames) indicates both that perhaps this change is intentional and that I, officially, care way too much about this cartoon about magical girls

I can’t pass up a Tuesday night challenge!
I haven’t seen much of any of the Starlights so far, so all rankings are subject to change. I’d have to say I like Seiya the least, based on disrespect for Usagi’s comfort. I didn’t think Seiya was too bad until episode 181, where good-natured teasing started to edge toward insulting. I understand that they’re trying to do the season-1-Mamoru thing, but it’s not working for me right now. They’re still redeemable, though.
Yaten I’m mostly neutral toward, but they’re funny enough without being too obnoxious, which is a gift in this show.
However, Taiki’s incredible pretentiousness is both groan-inducing and impressive, and it tops the list for me. Just casually reciting Blake from memory and spending free time writing poetry like a parody of a typical creating writing student. Anyone who has kept a quiet tally of every time I reference Shakespeare or Jane Austen will know that I am a bit of a literature dork, and Taiki’s ridiculous devotion to poetry is something to begrudgingly appreciate for me.
Short answer: 1. Taiki, 2. Yaten, 3. Seiya
“After all, you can’t spell ‘criminal disobedience’ without ’dance’!”
“is a one day police chief a real thing“
Since you asked:
Yes. Yes it is. They still do it. It’s a publicity/community service thing idols often do.
That’s a great publicity stunt that I had NO IDEA existed.

“Who’s that?”
“Oh. That’s just my other snarky romantic interest and mysterious pink-haired child.”

“Events have occurred, we’ve been interacting with objects in our environment, and just last week we reached an objective.”

she said it AGAIN

A common criticism of fictional villains is the absence of a realistic motive.
That criticism holds no bearing here.
