These two scenes don’t match up nearly as well as I thought, but have some double Ghost Boy Encouragement anyway

ANOTHER CHOOSE ONE: Haruka x Michiru or Utena x Anthy OR Touya x Yukito :)

This is not a question that can be answered by mere hypothetical comparison. This needs to be a tournament-style championship, a heptathlon of romance (gaylympics 2016?). The rounds are: Domestic Household Living, Synchronized Outfits, Symbolic Affection, Rose Petal Tossing, Extreme Held Eye Contact, Personal Sacrifice, and Competitive Hand-Touching.

Honestly, it would be a very close race between the three teams. Touya and Yukito have an impressive number of matching work outfits, and Utena and Anthy pull ahead in symbolic tokens. Finally, Haruka and Michiru take home the championship with just the points earned in the last event.

Guardress here. I’m still not sure what upset me most about Galaxia’s plot. She hunted down and killed Mamoru on her own for his true Star Seed because she could sense it. She knows what Star Seeds are and who has them. And yet for the entire season, Iron Mouse, Aluminum Siren, Lead Crow and Tin Nyanko ran around chasing random people instead of Senshi. And at no point did Galaxia think that she might just want to give them a LITTLE more info… instead of killing them after repeated failures.

Poor communication kills. LITERALLY

Every major villain has gone through a “let’s kill our minions for their incompetence while we sit on our throne drinking from a fancy cup” phase, but Galaxia takes it to a new level of superiority complex. Perhaps her inability to work with her own employees to achieve her own objective represents her inherent objection to teamwork and friendship, but it sure is an awful business model. If Galaxy TV was a real company, it would never have been legally incorporated.

“I’LL NEVER LET GO JACK”

“PAINT ME LIKE ONE OF YOUR FRENCH GIRLS”

“Wait. We missed something somewhere.”

I know that you’re probably dealing with a lot of emotions right now…
I just wanted to remind/reassure you that Michiru did paint Haruka like one of her french girls…

I hope that this provides you a small comfort in this difficult time

* I made that gif especially special for you < 3

This is a vital reminder that I think everyone can appreciate and incorporate into their lives to improve upon their individual experience.

“How dare you think that you can take over this planet with cruelty,…”

I think it’s supposed to mean more like “you’re talking big” like yeah you say you’re big and bad but you’re really scared and weak.

Admittedly, that makes more sense. Pairing that phrase with “I can’t forgive you” is still a weird transition, but Star Fighter was probably a little stressed at the moment.

This is the best show that has ever ruined my life

“That girl… was me.”

“How dare you think that you can take over this planet with cruelty, manipulation, and vocabulary.”

Guardress again. I’m glad someone else feels my rage. I was so disgusted that the writers not only had Uranus and Neptune murder Pluto and Saturn for a half-baked plan they made up on the spot (they didn’t even need to talk about murdering their friends – which means both their minds went to the same place) to kill Galaxia with her own damn bracelets, but that we’re supposed to see their long, drawn out death scene as “tragic” and “romantic” when Pluto and Saturn’s murders get none of that.

I also couldn’t help but compare the two death scenes of the Outer Senshi. Pluto and Saturn each get a line about believing in themselves before disappearing, while Neptune and Uranus are showered with forgiveness throughout the ten minutes they spend slowly dying.

I really love Haruka and Michiru, but they are flawed to the high heavens. It is possible to have them be likable characters without dramatically romanticizing the negative things they’ve done. We see that Usagi is ready to assume the best from them, but this is coming from the girl who gave the Holy Grail to the enemy because she thought it might save Hotaru.

A few others had offered their theories that shift the blame off Uranus and Neptune slightly, each of which I’m willing to consider with equal weight until I have seen everything. However, I think it’s interesting that, while everyone else would rather have died, these two decided to take a gamble. They knew the risks, they paid the price. Their intentions were good, which leaves the answer to the question “What did they deserve?” unknown.

(a) As someone who was already heavily spoiled when I first saw this arc, I am deeply enjoying seeing someone go through it for the first time with no preparation. (b) My theory was always that Saturn and Pluto were in on the plan. How to win Galaxia’s trust enough to get close enough to attack? U&N are better at acting the traitor role, so S&P volunteer as tribute. (If the ploy had succeeded in killing Galaxia, I think they all would’ve thought it was worth it.)

Oh, I am SO unprepared for this it’s not even funny. Thanks to all who made it a spoiler-free experience, though!

I really want to believe that Pluto and Saturn were okay with the plan. Like, the Outers planned some secret hand signal that means “The two of us will try to kill you both in order to win the enemy’s favor and lull them into a false sense of security,” at which point Pluto and Saturn shared a knowing wink before playing along. I want to believe. Again, I’m withholding judgement until all is said and done, but until then, fantastic input!
