Sakura says in next week’s preview that Grandpa Valjean wants to give her something. Ten bucks says it’s a “story of those who always loved you.” Or maybe a loaf of bread.

ANON, I’M GOING TO CRY

Since Sakura now has a card that can record the past, this will open infinite possibilities! For Tomoyo, that is. She can finally rewatch all the times technology failed her in recording Sakura

^^^ This new power exists so that Tomoyo can finally have the full collected of Sakura Cardcaptures. She can even go back to ones she was present for and get a better angle. It’s a filmmaker’s dream.

Ok, but what if Clow himself was also a completely airhead and did almost everything by accident? But because he’s the most powerful sorcerer and stuff he just pretends like it’s all part of a master plan, when he’s actually just winging it. Like, he’s sad and that made it rain and it’s a weird powerful rain and when they ask him about it he goes “it’s not time to explain it yet” later by coincidence the rain showed there was a problem with food storage “and that’s why I made it rain like that”

(bonus, Eriol is also winging it, and that’s why he doesn’t call back, he just got think about creating chaos, then chaos happens, then he think about bullshit ways to pretend to explain the chaos, and that won’t work here so he’s procrastinating)

I’m all in for this. There’s so many inconsequential/redundant cards and Clow Reed has to BS some speech about “ah yes all the elements of nature taking on a form of their own” but really he was just thinking super hard about flowers that day.

I for one welcome our new ‘crap, four episodes left, we need to bring in a plot’ story structure. It’s the serialized narrative equivalent of an all-nighter before an essay’s due and it’s kind of hilarious.

Good luck Clear Card… I have nothing but trust in you but that deadline isn’t getting any farther away

*stumbles into the askox* I just though of something! With all the Alice in Wonderland references… could the dream dragon be the Jabberwocky? I also found another (in this case Through the Looking Glass reference) while on the Wikipedia page “Alice finds a book written in a seemingly unintelligible language. Realizing that she is travelling through an inverted world, she recognises that the verses on the pages are written in mirror-writing.” What are the chances that Clock Book is in mirror?

I really like the idea of the dream being a subtle reference to Jabberwocky! The clock book is so mysterious that I have nothing to base this on, but the book seems to be blending fiction and reality; what happens in the book happens in real life or vice versa. With Kaito’s time magic, Akiho’s sense of reality is already confused. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that elements of Alice’s world might be bleeding into theirs.
