imo the whole “true selves” thing is bc Drosselmeyer wrote Duck to be a girl and to be princess tutu and he also wrote Fakir to be the knight who dies in vain. Without Dross’s influence Duck is just a bird and Fakir can’t protect anyone, but since that’s who they’re meant to be sans the influence of this creepy dead guy Fakir says that they should return to that reality.

This is a good interpretation! It’s not so much taking away what they have now, it’s restoring them to an existence without all these frankly unreasonable responsibilities placed upon them

Modern AU where Drosselmeyer is that one guy who goes around forums and comment sections complaining about nice characters and idealistic themes bc they’re “boring” and “unrealistic” and “deep down everybody is an asshole, i’m just honest”

you didn’t HAVE to make me hate him any more than I already do, but you did anyway!

theory: drossy boy is trying to nerf Ahiru w/his confusing guilt trip b/c her Goodness Level is so high she may actually stand a chance of saving the day and we cant have that now can we

he’s trying to put her through a Kobayashi Maru no-win scenario, and he’s mad because she keeps actually finding perfectly reasonable solutions that he just didn’t think of.

so I decided to rewatch PT and go through ur liveblog im dying over ur tag in the first abt “I think Mytho is an android designed to steal the hearts of young girls” wsddsadas

WOW I can’t believe I predicted the future and then immediately forgot about it!

real mystery of Clear Cards: Tomoyo and Meiling are dating? The second movie showed them walking while hold hands and together all the time, now CC revealed Tomoyo’s mom made a hair dryer just to Tomoyo but they sent one to Meiling and all the time Tomoyo is like “Meiling told me…”. I, Princess Serenity of the lesbians, can feel gay energy from them

This is why Clear Card ended on such an ambiguous note, because Madhouse has decided that instead of following the manga they need to write an entirely different canon that follows Meiling and Tomoyo’s road to the relationship upgrade.
