Not to ruin everyone’s fun with the time traveler Tomoyo, but I think she just put a camera in the top of a desk and let it record everything in that fixed point, while she was with another camera that she could move and zoom in on what she wanted. But the most important question is why did she chose to film that angle? It’s literally the opposite way the audience is, you are just getting the backs of everyone, Tomoyo, I thought you knew better than this

no she’s definitely a time traveler how ELSE would she have the foresight to thematically match each battle outfit to the card before she even knows what the card is

also if you ever need to ask why Tomoyo is doing what she’s doing with the camera, the answer is “for the drama”

I was just watching the clear card so where they watched the play and then Tomoyo played the recordings of the rehearsal I saw Tomoyo in the the recordings filming the rehearsal WHILE filming the rehearsal

See, we all fell for the red herring that Kaito is the time traveler, but actually it is Tomoyo, who uses this power to film from 2 angles at once

*watches the new episode of CCS* So… the thesaurus’ for the Fight and the Strong got combined into a single card?! I mean, that’s what I got from the preview at least…

She does look a lot like a redesign of The Power but with upgraded tallness. Tbh Fight and Power could have been combined into a single card but Clow Reed simply could not be stopped. Anyway, I don’t know what she represents yet, but I will disclose that I DO love her.

When CCS first came back, I jokingly made up a theory that everyone was stuck in a time loop. Whenever something bad happens or if something doesn’t go like Clow Reed predicated it, the whole storyline gets rebooted, much like on The Good Place. Example: In one version Sakura dies before capturing all the Clow Cards. BAM! REBOOT! What if Kaito and Akiho are there to start another reboot?

I do like this theory (tho it may just be because i live for The Good Place). Like, it at least explains why there seem to be multiple versions of the events that happened in the first series. They’re just failed attempts at creating the best of all possible worlds!

I just realized this (and I can’t believe it took me this long), but the earthquake (?) at the end of the last episode was probably caused by the new version of Earthy….? (Why did they skip over fiery?)

Great point! It’s totally plausible that Earthy could be making a comeback with a slightly different name! As for the Firey…. SYAORAN STOLE IT

replied to your post “I’m so confused, like… Similar to Sealed Card, Syaoran and Meiling…”

Eriol has jacked up the entire timeline because he thought it would be fun to be involved with the class play. When it was pointed out to him that this would conflict with established events and risk irreparable damage to the very nature of causality, he shrugged and said, “Sakura will figure something out, YOLO.” When it was pointed out to him that as the reincarnation of Clow Reed he is in fact living twice, he shouted “BOO!”, threw down a small smoke bomb and disappeared in the confusion.

“do whatever tf you want and let Sakura deal with it” is the entire foundational theory of Clow Reed’s school of magic

I’m so confused, like… Similar to Sealed Card, Syaoran and Meiling participated in a play organized by Sakura’s school during a visit to Tomoeda… But wasnt their meeting in the premiere of Clear Card the first encounter they had since Syaoran returned to Hong Kong? I’m hungry and confused, what you doing CLAMP

I am also hungry and confused. Instead of providing answers, I will just make things more confusing by adding that I think Eriol is in this shot of the play rehearsal? Why are you here? Shouldn’t your house be getting bulldozed to make room for a theme park about now?

Anyway this arc APPEARS to be veering in a time travel direction, so that might factor in to the canonization of these events? Like, what if this video is a relic from a different timeline, and Clear Card takes place in a timeline where the play never happened and Eriol’s house never got torn down? Sure, it doesn’t make any sense, but that never stopped a time travel plot before.

“These two are so alike” last time I saw it was in Sailor Moon. I hope Sakura will not find out her friend is actually her future child, it can be traumatic

if Akiho is Sakura’s daughter, I’m quitting anime
