real mystery of Clear Cards: Tomoyo and Meiling are dating? The second movie showed them walking while hold hands and together all the time, now CC revealed Tomoyo’s mom made a hair dryer just to Tomoyo but they sent one to Meiling and all the time Tomoyo is like “Meiling told me…”. I, Princess Serenity of the lesbians, can feel gay energy from them

This is why Clear Card ended on such an ambiguous note, because Madhouse has decided that instead of following the manga they need to write an entirely different canon that follows Meiling and Tomoyo’s road to the relationship upgrade.

Now that I think about it, this line states that episode 22 is the final EPISODE of CLEAR CARD, which means either

a) there will be more of Clear Card, but not an EPISODE (i.e. a movie)

b) there will be more episodes, but not CLEAR CARD (i.e. new season new name)

damn. I take back the disappointment I expressed about this ending. this is everything I could have possibly wanted from the finale. so touching and poignant. what a perfect conclusion such an impactful series.
