I don’t know if you plan to/are available to watch the Sailor Moon R Movie in a theater during its theatrical run, but it is amazing on a movie screen. In the dub version they interview the dub actors before the show and they all have great insight into their characters and Mamoru’s VA wears a Mamoru Sweater And Outfit, I swear. Also the dub is hilarious (but serious when needed!) due to how dramatic yet silly lines like “He threw a flower at me ;_;” are in English. Songs stayed in Japanese.

Thank you for the review!! This sounds like one that would be worth buying a DVD of, with all the bonus materials. I’m not going to get a chance to see it theatrically, but I will check it out once it becomes accessible! The R movie is absolutely my favorite movie about a jealous alien using flowers to take over the planet before rocketing into space and learning the meaning of forgiveness.

I honestly thought of Eudial’s pipe organ of doom when it came to the Sailor Moon/piano crossover. Combined with something like the violin daimon I’m thinking a pipe organ daimon that shoots darts while playing some ominous copyright-free classical music.

I forgot about Eudial and her totally beautiful pipe organ playing skills! It would make an amazing monster of the week. Primary attacks of choice include “Für Elise,” “Rondo alla Turca” and ironically “Claire de Lune.”

I almost choked at the amount of “???” tags. Good show. I’m now imagining Ami trying to keep up a blog on something now and juggling her categorization needs with academia and the busy life of a senshi.

If you google “tumblr tag cloud javascript” then that can produce an alphabetized tag list to embed on a page on tumblr. Not the absolute best solution but definitely a stopgap, and it updates itself. I use post-theory[.]com / tumblr-tag-cloud-javascript

Thank you so much for this!! I just made a quick one for this blog (you can see it here) and obviously, it’s not perfect because a LOT of my tags are non-categorical and just obnoxious, but it’s at least a starting point. (I was trying to limit those, but tags like “jfc” and “whyyy” appear more often than some actual episode numbers.) Organizing this blog isn’t really a priority of mine right now, but it is an eventual goal of mine to have it cleaned up and looking presentable and ergonomic. The American Dream.

If you have too many links on one page, it’ll do that unfortunately. D: The best way to stop it is to split link pages into a few pages.

Tumblr strips out link tags on any page/post with over 250 links (or maybe lower than that) so many peeps have had to make links pages and resource posts multi-part into several pages. Anti-spammer measure I guess.

That’s what I get for watching a 200-episode anime, I guess. I’ll split them up and hopefully peak organization will be restored to this once-great blog. Thank you!!

SMC Season III has a lot of callbacks to Sailor Moon S in style and sometimes in actual animation, the staff definitely enjoyed and paid homage to the 90s anime!
