IM LOSING IT OVER THIS PIECE OF MERCHANDISE IN PARTICULAR

Uranus and Neptune have finally found the Holy Grail. They effectively sacrificed their lives in its name, and were willing to take any and every pure heart with them. They wonder what kind of mystical powers it must hold to possess such a significant force in their lives.

ITS A GODDAMN PAPERCLIP HOLDER

“Paperclips can easily be held by many other things,” complains Neptune.

“This isn’t even a particularly efficient container,” adds Uranus. “What a waste of a tacky cup.”

BUT WAIT

THESE ARE NOT JUST ANY PAPERCLIPS

THESE ARE DESIGNER PAPERCLIPS

THESE PAPERCLIPS ARE SHAPED LIKE LITTLE STARS AND MOONS

from SOUND DRAMA COLLECTION

I have no idea what’s going on in any of these images, but they each speak to me on an intrinsic level.

image 1: “Who’s going to take Princess Lightweight home?” asked Jupiter, trying and failing to pry her inebriated friend from the karaoke machine.
“Not me, I really have to study for this test,” said Mercury, suddenly taking interest in her book as if it was her one defining character trait.
“And, uh, I’m helping her,” added Rei, pretending to scribble on a notepad with the thick black pen they used to write their song requests.
“Why this.” said Makoto.

image 2: After a kitchen mishap and a 911 call, Jupiter realized that power over nature did not extend to vegetables.
After a failed birthday party for a disappointed six-year-old, Mars realized that psychic powers did not make her a magician.
After a night in jail, Venus realized that becoming a celebrity did not mean forging autographs of famous people.
After four minutes as a telemarketer and a pink slip, Sailor Moon realized that “being the embodiment of love” and “having charisma” were not necessarily mutually inclusive.
Mercury sure did love reading.

image 3: The five senshi were so grateful to each other for so many things, but they rarely said anything about it in favor of belligerent exchanges or sarcastic asides. But here they stood, engaged in an unspoken contest to see who could hold their tears in the longest. No one dared open her mouth in fear of betraying the emotions that swelled inside them like the tides. Finally, Usagi spoke.
“Thanks for that, Rei. I can’t believe I’d never seen Titanic before.”

image 4: “There are too many manifestations of Tuxedo Mask here and Venus is holding too many weapons for me to be entirely comfortable right now,” said Mercury, too distracted by the situation to engage in her singular hobby of reading books.

image 5: “I aspire to be the tiniest gangster,” said Chibiusa.
The rest of the Senshi looked at one another awkwardly. “There… there already is a tiniest gangster,” admitted Minako. “She works for Galaxia and wears pinstripes and-”
Chibiusa took a tiny revolver out of her tiny briefcase. “THEN I MUST BECOME THE TINIEST GANGSTER.”

image 6: Three minutes had they been stuck on this strangely verdant desert island.
Uranus and Neptune took the optimistic route, and immediately looked into the camera. “At least we are objectively the most attractive couple here,” said Uranus, flipping her hair. “I’m inclined to agree,” said Neptune, flipping hers.
Jupiter pretended to fish to satisfy her friends already whining of hunger, and though she knew a shoelace attached to a stick was not going to tempt any ocean dwelling creature with a brain, she hoped her face didn’t betray her lie.
Mars pondered, is this how it all ends? Is a botched Sailor Teleport to be the undoing of the future? Or was this moment destined and already written into the timeline, as often the most unplanned of circumstances lead to true destiny?
Mercury read on.

Diana #4, ♡

4) What they would do if they had one month to live.

I bet you thought I would let this ask get sad. I bet you thought you were going to destroy me in the process. But the Smallest Kitten of the Future will take positive steps to achieving timelessness!

First of all, Diana canonically knows how to time travel

right

and everyone knows that “one month” means linearly from that point on and doesn’t apply to chronological aging

right

so Diana can just go back in time and live with her parents and everyone who loves her in the past

right

and Diana is functionally an immortal omnipresent figure as long as she only moves backward in time

RIGHT

Diana was the happiest kitty on Earth (hell in the whole universe!).

Sure, she wasn’t in Crystal Tokyo anymore, but living in the past with everybody was so much fun it didn’t matter where she was, she was with people she dearly loved…

Sure, today was a big day in Crystal Tokyo. Small Lady was accessing the throne today. Her small princess, her best friend, the person she was meant to protect. She’d become a wonderful Lady.
Diana’s eyes shined at the thought. Where these tears? Of course not. She wouldn’t allow herself to be sad. She was proud of her little princess. But just today, maybe, being by her side….

Diana also knew her time in this past was almost over too. The birth of Crystal Tokyo was imminent and she had to leave her parents… well, become parents in their own rights, giving her birth, so that in this timeline, at least, she could protect her small Lady….

Diana wondered if she just could skip that fateful month and go directly live the day after her supposed death. “Time isn’t a game” had said Pluto to her the day she left.

– Diana, what are you doing here alone? You should come quickly if you still want some cake Usagi hasn’t eaten yet!
– I’m coming Setsuna-sama! But after all, it is Usagi-sama birthday, she can eat many cake today!

Right, it was Usagi’s birthday today. It was also Small Lady’s birthday too.

Diana hopped happily towards the party, big smile. And shiny eyes. Never noticing how sad Pluto’s eyes were, everytime she looked at her.

whoops that made it A BILLION TIMES WORSE

It’s good to know that all roads, even my attempt at denial, lead to a vaguely tragic conclusion. In certainty there is some comfort.

WELL DONE
