Sakura says in next week’s preview that Grandpa Valjean wants to give her something. Ten bucks says it’s a “story of those who always loved you.” Or maybe a loaf of bread.

ANON, I’M GOING TO CRY

This is the most absurdly specific reference I have ever seen. It’s like OKAY YOU CAN KEEP MISUSING ANIMALS FOR YOUR EVIL PURPOSES

BUT I JUST WANT YOU TO IMAGINE VICTOR HUGO’S RESTLESS SPIRIT SHAKING ITS HEAD AT YOU

I BET THAT PUTS THINGS INTO PERSPECTIVE, DOESN’T IT

“Empty chairs at empty tables, now my friends are pop-star aliens…”

Ok so, if it hasn’t been cast : Les Misérables :p

I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN

THAT DOESNT MEAN I WAS ANY MORE PREPARED

Valjean: Pluto (you know how the story goes; break one too many taboos of time and suddenly you’re on the lam)

Javert: Nephrite Nehelenia (firstly because I love her, secondly she’s an incredibly complex villain who at first seems only interested in simple cases of retribution but holds an intrinsic grudge against all who fight with the Moon family, an enmity she only admitted to herself only after much introspection)

Cosette: Chibiusa (clearly this good earth needed more Chibiusa/Pluto friendship emotions)

Marius: Mamoru (i humbly request that you please read this not as a romantic relationship but rather a parental one; however, equal dorkiness is still to be applied)

Fantine: NeoQueen Serenity (not that her life has been particularly tragic, but the image of her dying in Crystal Tokyo and charging Pluto with Chibiusa’s care is almost more than my heart can take)

Eponine: Hotaru (daughter and criminal accessory to uncomfortably zany villains; I would not protest if she were to try to garner Chibiusa’s affections)

The Thenardiers: Professor Tomoe and Kaorinite (operation wacky antagonist is a GO)

Gillenormand: Motoki (seems like the monarchist type I suppose; exists entirely outside of the main conflict)

The Bishop Myriel: Usagi (physical embodiment of forgiveness; probably a  real-life angel)

Enjolras: Minako (the first Senshi takes her last stand no I’m not crying you’re crying)

Grantaire: Rei (Minako’s favorite grumpy cynical rebel)

Fauchelevant: Haruka (indebted to Pluto who saved her life once by stopping time)

Assorted other members of the ABC: Ami, Makoto, Michiru, Artemis, Luna (“In the name of France, we’ll punish you!”)

Gavroche: Diana ( I M   S O   S O R R Y )

Of course there are literally dozens of other characters of limited significance (read: no one knows them because they did not appear in the musical). However, I have caused myself enough pain for one day and am content to stop here. Enjoy this romp through a devastating alternate universe.

“General Lamarque is dead.”

Episode 154: Confrontation of Dreams! Minako & Makoto’s Broken Friendship

Unless they sing “Confrontation” from Les Mis, I’m not interested
