I think, for Usagi, I would say that she learned that you can just wait and trust that a happen ending is going to happen. You have to work to make it happen and sometimes it’s hard work but it’s worth it the end. Y’know, so you don’t destroy the whole Earth and all that.

Going from Princess Serenity to Usagi Tsukino is god tier character development

Makoto, internally panicking because how the hell are you even a good hostess to a long dead queen who is a ghost and/or hologram: “Would you like something to drink?” And then she experiences that unending horror that is the moment when you tell people who work in food service to also have a good meal.

she doesn’t realize that it’s very insensitive in Ghost Culture to offer corporeal food and beverages.

For some reason I feel like PGSM!Usagi would like to be a Mom way more than anime!Usagi. And I can’t tell how much of that is their different characterization and how much of that is Crystal Tokyo making Usagi look like a pretty shitty parent. :/

Totally agree!! I cannot thank PGSM ENOUGH for not dealing in any time travel bullshit. Like, that would change your entire relationship with your daughter if you give birth to her and you’re like “well I know exactly what she’s going to be like in a few years because of all the time that I hung out with her when I was a teenager so I know she ends up OK :)”

anyway this is why I will defend Sailor Luna to my dying breath; if Chibiusa had been present it would have completely defeated the purpose of the “you are not required to do anything because fate said so” narrative, because there would be constant pressure to make the “Chibiusa exists” future come true

Okay, but what story did they tell Ikuko for her to just accept this strange cat-like child that apparently doesn’t age?

Ikuko just adopts every little kid she comes across and doesn’t ask questions. She has a lot of extra Mom Energy.

Also “need a Dad” because while we all love Artemis is only one lone white kitty, asking him to be dad to four teen girls just seems cruel.

Pictured below: The only positive father figure in all of PGSM
