I was looking for an excuse to liveblog that thirty-second trailer of the remastered R movie and then @captainsnumple revealed that it’s not available in every country so HERE IS MY THOUGHTS:

Okay, I’m pretty sure this is just the default font from iMovie software. The sparkles and rose petals are pretty much an accurate summary of the movie though

I would give anything to be watching this without knowing anything about Sailor Moon. 

a forgotten “friendship”

ALL RIGHT BUT THE ANIMATION IS SO SMOOTH AND CLEAN THAT NOT EVEN MY GIF SOFTWARE CAN PROPERLY CAPTURE HOW NICE IT LOOKS

this is a confusing mixed metaphor because usually love is the only this that can idiomatically “bloom” and to described a forgotten friendship as blooming suggests that it is now developing into something else. Or they just wanted a flower pun. I don’t know, I’m just a Sailor Moon blogger

THERE THEY ARE!! THERE ARE MY SCREAMING GIRLS

Focus group: I don’t get it. This was, at some point, about a doomed friendship between a boy and his alien and now there is a set of wedding cake toppers with their backup dancers in the middle of a moon sandstorm. Is this even the same movie?

Me: Shhhhhhhhhhh. Do not ask questions, just go cry for 12,892 days

This means that you can drag your family along and they can’t leave in the middle because you have the keys to the car and all of the popcorn.

This is the most excited I have been for anything in quite a while. You can only tell so much from thirty seconds of footage interspersed with default text blocks; this just shows the animation, I can’t wait to hear how their voices sound and what the music is like.
