It’s honestly so funny seeing Motoki so awkward with Makoto since she was the one crushing on him in the 90s, while showing a bit of attraction to him in SMC/Manga.

YES it was always weird to me that everyone in the anime universe was in love with Generic Arcade Nice Apron Man™ for apparently no other reason than he was one of the 3 male humans in Japan

… if I start to ship this, do I have to hand in my MakoAmi badge

asking for a friend

CALL IN THE HUG REINFORCEMENT SQUAD FOR AN EMERGENCY JOB

I know this is supposed to be dramatic but the Absolute Omnipresence of Minako Aino’s Ass is mildly distracting

I also like to ease the tension when rushing my friends to the ER by flirting

BAM. SYMBOLISM. TAKE THAT, REVOLUTIONARY GIRL UTENA

I know, I never stop talking about how amazing the actors are in this series, but shout out to this turtle for getting the character and emotion of Kamekichi just right.

Plz tell us the story of how you found out that Beth died.

OKAY HERE IS THE STORY

In middle school, we had to read 4 books per marking period for a grade. We also had to take online quizzes about these books to prove that we had read them. If we read a book that wasn’t on the list, we could do an alternate project, but I was much too lazy for that and the deadline was coming up, so in sixth or seventh grade I looked for a book that was reasonably short that was also on the reading list. I found a copy of Little Women somewhere and said “Okay this looks like a doable length that I can finish quite quickly.

Little did I realize, it was an abridged version of only the first half.

Later, when I took the quiz, there were lots of things I didn’t recognize. “Whose proposal did Amy reject?” I didn’t know anyone proposed to her! “Where does Jo move to?” Doesn’t she just stay at home?? I failed the quiz. I chalked this up to me being a poor reader (I loved to read, but I was very bad at it), figuring I must have skimmed and missed some key details.

UNTIL

Later that year, our Girl Scout troop went to go see the Little Women musical, playing locally at a small theatre. The first act passed in much the fashion I expected. At intermission, I thought the play was basically over. I chatted with my friends about our favorite characters. Mine was Beth. I loved Beth. She was the best.

The curtain came up for act 2, and so many things I didn’t expect went down. Jo moved to New York! Amy married Laurie! And, most importantly, Beth died of the affliction of being a passive young woman in the mid-1800s! I didn’t believe it at first, because she died offstage, but all the other characters started crying and I was like “HOW DARE YOU, LOUISA MAY ALCOTT, FROM CENTURIES HENCE STILL COME TO TORMENT ME……”

When Beth’s actress came out for curtain call, my friends joked how “Oh, hey, she isn’t dead after all!” I cried.

THE END

And then the episode ended, and nothing bad happened, and they were happy, the end

“It’s only been 15 seconds and they’ve already broken me. That’s…”

AND THEN SHE CROAKED LIKE BETH IN LITTLE WOMEN AND THEY ALL REALISED THEY SHOULD HAVE APPRECIATED HER MORE
